I don't fish and just got this in case a pet or person falls in the lake and have to rescue them and/or use as a pool skimmer so reviewing this is probably a little out of my _depth_ but I will say it is very well made - the net seems very strong and durable and rugged and will last quite a while and the pole is pretty light weight and was very easy to put together
Disadvantages: Bulk and Weight: Hard boxes are heavier and less comfortable to carry over long distances, especially in rugged terrain
