We tried to replicate all the details of the original where possible but there are some unknowns that we had to work out for ourselves like the hing pieces for the lid which were clearly repaired on the original sample

It is in good condition with only a little bit of wear along the edge

It is in decent condition but could use a cleaning. There are some stains on it similar to the sort of staining you often see on mess kits. Like a small spot of corrosion surrounded by yellow discoloration. These were usually used at the barracks but it also seems like most field kitchens also carried them and you can often see officers eating with these
